The Payload Launch system is designed to be a prototype of construction, programming, launch, tracking and recovery systems.

  • Ground Tests: PLS-0 is aimed to test the construction and programming of the payload. Primarily testing radio, and landing systems (i.e. Will it become damaged on landing)
  • Payload: Flight Data Recorder, GPS, Radio Downlink, Thermometer
  • Additional Sensors: None
  • Status: Under Construction

  • Planned: March 2016
  • Launch: North Wales
  • Planned Altitude: 20-30km
  • Payload: Flight Data Recorder, GPS, Radio Downlink, Camera, Thermometer
  • Additional Sensors: None
  • Status: Planned

PLS-2

  • Planned: June 2016
  • Launch: North Wales
  • Planned Altitude: 30-40km
  • Payload: Flight Data Recorder, GPS, Radio Downlink, Camera, Thermometer
  • Additional Sensors: Barometer, Additional Camera
